Spring is in the air

The clocks have sprung forward, temperatures are soon to be consistently warmer, and we are beginning the third trimester of the 2023-24 school year. Spring is an exciting time of the year for our students and staff. Our younger students are preparing for end of the year activities and assessments, many secondary students are finalizing their plans for next year, and of course our seniors are getting ready to leave our walls and enter into the world.
Administratively, we are deep into our planning for the next school year, preparing budgets and staff assignments, course offerings, and setting calendar dates for key activities that may not already be finalized. Summer activities are not to be forgotten in this planning process either, with academic, athletic, and other activities keeping our buildings busy the entire year.
Certainly, although we are planning for the future, our teachers and staff are working diligently to ensure a successful end of this school year for all of our students. With one third of the school year left, spring is an opportunity to extend learning for those that have already mastered standards, as well as a chance to provide additional support to students that need the extra help.
I encourage all of our Blue Jays to celebrate what we’ve accomplished already this school year, and work hard to finish the year strong. Whether next year brings a new grade, a new building, or life after graduation, we want you to be as prepared as you can be for the next step in the journey. Keep up the great work and we look forward to the continued progress!
