Board introductions, plan updates given

Superintendent Eric Hudspith opened the Waseca school board’s July business meeting by introducing Carlo Driessen to the board. Driessen, a junior, will be joining returning senior Violet Rohwer as student representatives at school board meetings.

 

Hudspith gave his monthly update on the strategic plan and Business Director Andrew Adams gave the financial update, noting the new school year budget began July 1. Board chair Dave Dunn spoke of a recent Minnesota School Board Association webinar he viewed concerning the relationship between schools and booster clubs.

 

The board approved a resolution pertaining to the district’s ten-year long term facilities maintenance (LTFM) expenditures and revenues,  and  approved continued membership in the Minnesota State High School League for the 2026-27 school year.
