Board talks '26-27 levy, next meeting April 16

During the April 2 school board workshop held at Waseca Intermediate School (WIS), board members heard from several students and staff highlighting recent winter activities at the high school; students Sadie and Maren Schimming spoke about choir and girls’ basketball respectively while high school band director Devon Lawrence, head gymnastics coach Kim Wendland, and boys’ basketball coach Seth Anderson said a few words about each of their programs.

 

Superintendent Eric Hudspith gave the results of the technology audit recently completed by an outside firm. Hudspith said it was a good report in general, and included several suggestions for future system updates.

 

Business Manager Andrew Adams reported that he and Hudspith were beginning work on the preliminary budget for school year 2026-2027.

 

The next meeting will be back at the Central Building on April 16.
