Coffee with the superintendent
Fri, 12/30/2022 - 3:34pm
Waseca School Superintendent Eric Hudspith was on hand Wednesday morning at the local McDonald’s to hear any issues the community may have for the start of the new 2023 school year. Hudspith spoke with Waseca school board member David Dunn, and Robert Tackett.
One of the topics discussed was the security of the schools and the security of local neighborhoods on the evenings and weekends. The superintendent assured Tackett that everything that can be done is being done to ensure student safety during school and at local events.
Coffee with the Superintendent will continue at different locations over the next several months: residents are encouraged to attend.
“Some schools, larger ones for example, wait for a time of need to open dialogue with the public,” Hudspith said. “We don’t want to wait for something bad or controversial to happen. We want to listen to what people have to say now.”
The next coffee talk will be 9 a.m. October 7 at the Pheasant Cafe.
