Election results are in for Waseca County. Your next Sheriff will be Jay Dulas. Your next Waseca County Attorney will be Rachel Cornelius. 

Here are the results for every major local election in Waseca County. Vote totals appear in (parentheses). 

County-wide

Sheriff

Jay Dulas (5,630) defeated Trevor Kanewischer (2,513). 

Attorney

Rachel Cornelius won re-election (4,297) over previous county attorney Brend Miller (3,503)

Commissioners, etc.

Blair Nelson, DeAnne (De) Malterer, and Brad Krause all ran unopposed for county commissioner. 

Matthew Sommers, Larry Muff and Gregg Rosenthal all ran unopposed in the soil and water supervisor races. 

School board

Waseca

The top four vote-getters elected to Waseca School Board were: Charles Priebe (2,670), Alyssa Bowers (2,669), Theron Avery Kruger (2,389), and Dave Dunn (2,174). The next top vote getters were: Scott Deml (1,994), Andrew Isker (1,290), Robert Dickerson (896), and Jonathan Michel (817).

JWP 

The top four vote-getters elected to the Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton School board were: Katie Cahill (1,536), Kevin Born (1,393), Sherri Daschner (1,266), and Joan Olson (1,031). Tim Burke ran unopposed in the special election. Lauren Tester received 770.

NRHEG

The top four vote-getters elected to the NRHEG School Board were: Amy Ihrke (1,578), Richard Schultz (1,483), Pat Theuer (1,344), and Aaron Phillips (1,283). Rich Mueller received 1,261 votes; 26 votes were received for write-in candidates. 

City of Waseca

Randy Zimmerman(1,398) defeated Gary Conrath (1,158) and Matthew Petsinger (589)

Waseca City Council

In Waseca Ward 1 Stacey Schroeder (672) defeated Robert Tackett (255).

In Waseca Ward 3 Daren Arndt won re-election (440) over Chad Schlueter (375).

Jeremy Conrath and James Ebertowskiran ran unopposed. 

City of Janesville

Andrew Arnoldt ran unopposed for Mayor.

Ivan Maas (558) and Melissa Kopachek (490) were both re-elected to the Janesville city council. Daniel Frenk received 468 votes and 12 votes were for write-in candidates. 

City of New Richland

Councilperson Chad Neitzel (341) defeated Christina Petsinger (108) in the New Richland race for mayor. 

Loren Skelton (353) and Jason Casey (279) were elected as councilpersons in New Richland. Robert Delafosse received 92 votes. There were 10 write-in votes. 

City of Waldorf

Rob Wilkening ran unopposed for Mayor. 

Carrie Ann Ferch (53) and Melissa Sorbo (47) both won reelection to the Waldorf City Council. Dave Dottin received 27 votes.
