The Minnesota Alliance of Prairie Counties, often referred to as MNPrairie, is a human services agency which serves residents in Dodge, Steele, and Waseca counties. MNPrairie has made the on-line resource “CredibleMind” available for all Waseca County residents and their families with no fees.
According to a news release from MNPrairie, CredibleMind serves as a confidential online “hub” where people with questions can go to seek answers. The agency says the site “brings together local resources, scientifically validated assessments, expert-written articles, and thousands of resources including videos, apps, podcasts and books.”
Users can remain completely anonymous, or can create a login which allows their personalized content to be saved and accessed again later.
MNPrairie suggests anyone can benefit from the resources available through CredibleMind, since they are not only about mental illness, but also offer ideas for mental wellness, including ways to examine questions like “Is caring for others taking a toll on you? Is your mind full or are you mindful? What’s your meditation style? Is it job stress or burnout? What’s your mental health profile?” and “How strong is your resilience network?”
MNPrairie points out mental illness affects one in five adults, and one in six young people under the age of 18. The agency suggests individuals should not let stigma or pride keep them from finding out more.
Anyone wishing to check out CredibleMind’s resources can visit the site at no cost at mnprairie.crediblemind.com.
