A lively time

Annual St. Ann’s Fall Festival
It was a beautiful weekend for St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville to hold its annual St. Ann Fall Festival. Although it was a little chilly and wet for the golf tournament at Prairie Ridge Golf Course on Friday, September 9, Mother Nature provided great weather for the rest of the festival.
Among the many events were live and silent auctions, a meat raffle, and a money raffle. Out of 500 tickets sold, purchasers had ten chances at a $50 cash prize, five chances at $100, and eight chances at $500.
Several community members were present throughout the festival enjoying the fun games for the kids, the food trucks located between the church and parish center, the live music provided by Generation Gap and In a Bind, and bingo. Miss Janesville 2022 Ava Appel and her attendant Ariana Aguilar helped out with bingo on Saturday evening.
Fellow parish member Patti Heitkamp expressed gratitude on the church’s Facebook page to everyone who helped make St. Ann’s Fall Festival a success. “We especially thank the young kids who helped all weekend.”
Heitkamp acknowledged the Burns family who typically help run the event each year. “Their dedication is appreciated,” she stated.
Other people she credited for helping out at the fall festival were parish members Angela Adams, Bridgett Strauss, Judy Ready, Karen Dimler, Tony Sachol, Mike and Katie Cahill, Faith Ryan, Chris Ryan, Kelly Heitkamp, Jenny Adams, and the Golf Committee.
“It’s always so much fun being able to do this every year,” St. Ann parish member Judy Ready stated.
Ben Burns, who also helped run the festival, shared Ready’s sentiment. “We are blessed to have such a great community here at St. Ann Catholic Church.
