Varsity football managers, from left, Bianca Cavazos, Meraina Hiller, and Melanie Quintero delivered football poster schedules last week. In addition to acting as delivery persons, the girls said their roles include loading equipment for away games, field preparations and “making sure everything is there.” The girls were in agreement that their favorite part of the job, however, was driving the golf card. As for the pitfalls of their job, “C-Squad is the worst,” Cavazos said. “And us getting sprayed with the waterbottles.”

Cavazo and Quintero, both juniors at Waseca High School, are each in their second year as managers; Hiller, a freshman, is in her first year.
