JWP basketball girls fall 55-43 at unbeaten Lester Prairie

The JWP girls’ basketball team lost 55-43 at unbeaten Lester Prairie Tuesday, Dec. 13.

JWP looked to pull off an upset, but the home-court advantage proved to be the difference.

It was a tossup night for the girls. While they turned in their best defensive performance of the season, they inversely scored the lowest points on offense this season. The defensive battle resulted in a loss for JWP.

A potential bounce-back game against Cleveland scheduled for Dec. 15 was rescheduled for Jan. 31, 2023 due to the weather.

Because of that, a four-game road trip turned into five consecutive games away.

The girls had two difficult teams to face this week, at NRHEG Dec. 20 and at state-ranked Hayfield Dec. 22.
