Waseca Snow Week kicks off

It’s snow week at Waseca High School from Feb. 2-6. Coronation and a pepfest will be on Thursday Feb. 5, in the morning, followed by pictures. A semi-formal snow dance for students will cap off Thursday evening from 8 to 10:30 p.m. in the high school commons.
Candidates for queen are: Maddy Benson, daughter of Chas and Nikki Benson; Ella Bulfer, daughter of Philip and Amber Bulfer; Khloe Fuller, daughter of James and Kristen Fuller; Lauren Grant, daughter of Joe and Melinda Grant; Tailyn Kaput, daughter of Ryan and Vilay Miller; and Madison Rasche, daughter of Jason Rasche and Corrine Schumacher.
Candidates for king are: Liam Biddle, son of Jon and Stacy Biddle; Kaden Garza, son of Raul Garza and Lacie Mitchell- Garza; Jude Gehring, son of Jason and Bridget Gehring; William Mansfield, son of John and Edita Mansfield; Deven Parpart, son of Jeremy and Michele Parpart; and Lucas Selthun, son of Chris and Deb Selthun.
Dress up days are scheduled for students throughout the week beginning with Monday: “Monochromatic Monday,” followed by, “Circle of Life,” “Team Theme or Partner Day,” “Dress to Impress,” and concluding with “Hot vs Cold.”
Wednesday, high school students are encouraged to show their school spirit and wear student colors and/or colors representing their dodgeball team in preparation for a dodgeball tournament at 1:05 p.m. At 1:05 p.m. there will also be a “Geography Bee” for the Junior High. The talent show is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the PAC on Wednesday night.
Windows, doors, and signs throughout the school will be colorfully decorated by students for the week-long celebration.
