Waseca's Grace Lutheran offering 'Zentangle' session

As part of a Lenten series called "Tell Me Something Good," Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca is welcoming Diane Harpster, certified Zentangle teacher, to lead two public sessions from 5:30 to 6:15 and 7:15 to 8 p.m. the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 25.

 

Holden will also be a speaker at that evening’s service beginning at 6:30 p.m., and will tell about the benefits Zentangle has had for her. Grace Lutheran is located at 300 Elm Avenue East in Waseca.

 

Zentangle is a non-representational and unplanned art form which uses only a writing utensil and paper; the intent is to focus on each stroke and not worry about the result. The Zentangle method can lead to beautiful art and also allows practitioners to enjoy heightened focus, creativity, self-confidence and an increased sense of well-being.

 

The sessions are free and open to anyone who can hold a pen. Free will donations will be accepted to support mental health resources in the Waseca community.
