A light snow was beginning to fall during the Spring Craft Show at the Starfire Event Center on Saturday, April 4. But inside there was a soft yellow glow from above and a warm atmosphere from more than 20 vendors greeting those in attendance.
Among those with booths were PermaLinx JBloom Designs offering permanent jewelry–a type of jewelry that is put on with permanence in mind. For example, there are certain bracelets that are locked on to do away with clasps and hooks, leaving the bracelet on permanently. MC Laser Hobby and Craft had laser cut creations in wood and other objects like mugs, home décor, door hangers and porch leaners. Grandma Sady’s Closet offered tasty treats like pretzels, salsa, jellies and much more. Prime Sauce Co. out of Mankato carried sauces and seasonings, dry rubs and hot sauces made by owners Michael and Karen Young.
Jenn Anderson out of Waseca has been doing trade shows with the L’Bri Pure and Natural line. She’s been selling makeup and washes for six years out of trade shows and online sales and said, “I think I’ve learned a lot over the years and love talking about it.” DJ Homecraft out of Owatonna can be found every Saturday at the Farmers Market in Owatonna.
Paur’s Pantry was interesting because the whole table was filled with chocolate and sea salt flavored balls. Nicole Paur operates out of Springfield, Minnesota and she’s been selling around for about a year. “I wanted to make things from scratch from home. I saw lots of sour dough out there and I wanted to make something different. I started out with salted caramel, then on to cream filling, then homemade caramels. After that it was cake pops for grad parties and for different events.” She pointed to sample bowls at the head of the table and insisted, “Please take a few, I’ve been giving these out since I started in November of 2025. I’ve sold in Springfield, Waseca, St. Peter, and Sleepy Eye.”
Mod Bath was also there, field marketing manager Kelli was ready, willing and able to share information about the company’s services. “Our goal is to inform homeowners to know they deserve the same care and service. We focus on delivering exceptional bathroom remodel experiences beyond the big city. Exceptional bathrooms built for every community, big city quality, small town service.”
