Michelle Christensen

Michelle Christensen, age 54, passed away at her home in Plainview, Nebraska on April 20, 2023.

Michelle “Micki” was born in Minneapolis on September 10, 1968, to parents Dennis and Linda Christensen.  Her school years began in Fridley, MN, and then her family moved to Waseca in 1974.  Michelle graduated from high school with the class of 1986.  During high school she was active in cheerleading and band and was a member of the band that marched in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Throughout her working years she was employed in the sales and hospitality business, which was a natural fit for her.  She loved to cook for people and make them feel welcome.  At family gatherings she loved to share stories and make people laugh.  She was smart, compassionate, and caring.

Micki is survived by parents Dennis and Linda Christensen; sister Cari (Andy) Wright; nieces Ava Wright and Aili Wright; and nephew, Carver Wright.  She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services was at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.  Visitation was from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.  Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service in Waseca is handling the arrangements.
