Ruth Thompson

Ruth Elaine (Schroeder) Thompson, age 72, of Elk Groce, CA, formerly of Waseca, passed away on Wednesday, November 15 at Kaiser Hospice in Sacramento, CA.

Born on June 7, 1951 in Waseca, she was the third daughter of Carl Arnold and LaVonne Joyce (Peterson) Schroeder. Shew grew up in Waseca, graduating with the class of 1970. While working in Austin, MN, she met and married Carlos Thompson. They moved to California and settled in the Sacramento area.

Ruth is survived by her sisters, Karen (Bill) Lechner of Waseca, Deanna (Mike) Ostlund of Lubbock, TX, and Joyce (Randy) Wendel of Bloomington, MN; by niece and nephews Brad Lechner, Jennifer Lechner Burt, and Carl Wendel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos, and her parents. There will be a graveside service at a later date.
