Stan farmed until 1970, then drove for GTA Feeds and Bud Schmidt Trucking. He later worked for a short time at Brown Printing in Waseca until Pastor Harms from St. Paul Lutheran helped him land a job working on the Roy and Marcy Lukken farm. He was a farm hand for Mert Hildebrandt, worked at Kirtchmen Construction in Mankato, Farm America in Waseca, Fitzsimmons Trucking, his own trucking company, and finally at Cemstone until his retirement. Stan is survived by three children, Bob Stiernagle and his fiancé Patty Benedict-Serna of Owatonna, Tammy (Dan) Bosshart of Stewartville, and Jeff (Julie) Stiernagle of Waseca; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Donald Stiernagle of WI, Richard Stiernagle of Owatonna; and Leroy “Butch” Stiernagle of Waseca. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; two sisters, Jeanette and Phyllis; a brother, Harland “Jim”, sister-in-law, Marlene Harland, and a nephew, Roger Stiernagle. In a unique course of events, Stan passed away at the same time as Richard’s wife, Norma “Jeanie” Stiernagle of Owatonna.
