NRHEG wrestlers endure rough night in quadranqular

The NRHEG wrestling team hosted a quadrangular in New Richland Friday, Jan. 6.
It was a tough night for the Panthers.
The NRHEG crew absorbed three dual-meet losses, falling 48-21 to Goodhue, 50-27 to St. Clair/Mankato Loyola and 39-21 to Red Rock Central.
"Our team is in a tough position right now and we are trying to make the best of it," said Panthers coach Shaun Larson. "We are going to be making a few adjustments with our lineup in the next few weeks."
Winners against St. Clair/Loyola: Deven Parpart, 138 pounds; Aidan Schlaak, 145; Harbor Cromwell, 160; Aden Berg, 220; and Makota Misgen, 285.
NRHEG victories vs. Goodhue: Jacob Karl, 113; Parpart, 138; Ryan Schlaak, 152; Misgen, 285.
Winning against Red Rock Central: Karl, 106; Annabelle Petsinger, 126; Parker Bunn, 132; Ryan Schlaak, 152; Cromwell, 160; Wyatt Larson, 170; Misgen, 285. Ryan Schlaak won by fall.
"Our inexperience continues to show, and it was especially that way in the St. Clair match," said Larson. "We did not compete to the level we could have. In the Goodhue and Red Rock Central duals, we wrestled about as well as we could expect against those teams."
The previous night, the Panthers faced a pair of Rochester schools, defeating John Marshall 35-33 and falling to Century 43-36.
