Waseca Braves find victory all around

The Waseca Braves were victorious Wednesday, July 23, defeating Morristown 11-1 at Tink Larson Field in Waseca.
"It was a pretty good all-around game for us," said Braves coach Tink Larson. "We had good pitching, good hitting, and good defense."
The Braves outhit Morristown 13-5 while playing errorless defense.
Logan Reger pitched five innings and allowed baserunners in only one inning while walking none and striking out eight. Ryan Hanson had eight strikeouts in three innings of relief.
Keato Roeker had another good game at the plate with four hits, a walk, and a sacrifice fly.
Reger was 2-for-6 at the plate. Kyle Waugh and Kellen Klinger had two hits each. Kelvin Nelson, Payton Garza and Cody Huiras had one hit each.
The Braves could have made things a little easier if they had scored some of the 16 runners they left on base.

The Waseca Braves made it two straight wins with an 8-2 triumph over Blue Earth Saturday night at Larson Field.
"It was a nice game for us," said Larson, a Braves coach. "It locked up a bye in the first round of the playoffs."
Sabastian Teague came up with a big hit early in the game and Kyle Waugh gave Waseca a nice lead with a three-run homer.
Kelvin Nelson produced four-plus good innings on the mound, as he hadn’t pitched a quite some time and that allowed the Braves to bring in Tyson Reger when Kelvin tired in the fifth inning.
"Tyson pitched very well over the last four-plus innings to pick up the win," said Larson.
Waugh finished 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs. Other hits went to Ryan Wangen and Teague.
